Discovery Day – 2nd December

Our next Discovery Day is Saturday 2nd December at Hay Castle from 10am – 2pm! Come along for free

We will be showcasing our educational offers, including our one-year-long NVQ’s in partnership with NPTC Group of Colleges*:

– Level 2 in Regenerative Horticulture

– Level 2 in Sustainable Coppicing and Greenwood Trades

– Level 2 in Nature Recovery

Come and learn about our degree course: BA (Hons) Sustainable Futures: Arts, Ecology and Systems Change.

These courses are practical, hands-on, and multi-disciplined, which will help you develop a sustainable and rewarding career! Read more about the course content by following the links above.

What to Expect? 

Our Discovery Day will provide you with an insight into what BMC can offer you, as well as giving you the opportunity to get involved in our interactive activities.

  • Take part in hands-on woodworking activities and have a go on the ‘Shave Horse’ (weather permitting)
  • Meet and greet some of our fabulous, knowledgeable NVQ and Higher Education tutors
  • Meet and chat to some of our NVQ students
  • Find out more information on all of our courses
  • Find out about our past, present and future one-day and residential short courses, and buy your tickets
  • Refreshments available

 


Scheduled Sessions:

10am – Welcome and refreshments

10.30am – 12pm – NVQs in Regenerative Horticulture, Sustainable Coppicing and Greenwood Trades and Nature Recovery

  • Discover more about the course content and meet the tutors & some students
  • Come and have a go on the ‘Shave Horse’
  • Q&A

12pm – Break & Short Courses

  • Take a quick break, have a wander around, grab a snack and chat to us about our remaining short courses & residentials
  • Ask us any other questions you might have about our courses, student support, accommodation options, student finance and more

12.30pm – Higher Education

1pm-2pm – Q&A Session
