We are the Black Mountains College Project Ltd. (BMC) Our address is The Mill, The Square, Talgarth, LD3 0BW
BMC is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. The following policies are only in effect for the web pages, newsletters, discussion lists and opt-in announcement lists owned and operated by BMC.

How do we collect information from you?
We obtain information about you when you use our website, or those of our partners for example, when you purchase tickets, subscribe to our one of our services, contact us about products, make a donation, or if you register to receive one of our email newsletters.

What type of information is collected from you?

The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, IP address, and information regarding what pages are accessed and when. If you purchase a product from us your card information is not held by us, it is collected by our third-party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. BMC does not store any credit card or banking details on our website.

How is your information used?
We may use your information to:
• process orders that you have submitted;
• send you communications which you have requested;
• process a donation that you have made;
• create a subscription to a service we provide;
• to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and us;
• deal with entries into a competition;
• seek your views or comments on the services we provide;

• market research, internal monitoring and traffic auditing. This information is only examined in aggregate;
• to deliver customisable content to the user
We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with us.

Who has access to your information?

BMC will pass certain personally identifiable information on to third party suppliers if it is necessary to complete a commercial transaction or a request.

BMC will disclose personally identifiable information when required by the law or in the good-faith belief that such an action is necessary to:
• Conform to the edicts of the law or comply with a legal process served on BMC
• Protect or defend the rights or property of BMC, or visitors to the BMC website.
• Identify persons who may be violating the law, the legal notice or the rights of third parties.

The BMC website may contain links to other sites.

These sites are beyond BMC control and the user is subject to the individual privacy policies of these sites. Whilst BMC strives to protect personally identifiable information collected from users of the site, we cannot guarantee the security of private information disclosed online to linked sites.

BMC exercises every precaution to ensure the security of data transmissions from the user’s PC to our servers and stored information. Where sensitive information like credit card details or financial information is transmitted, it is done so using SSL encryption. Access to stored information is password protected and every attempt will be made to ensure that these passwords are only known to BMC personnel and trusted third parties (website developers and the Internet Service Provider) who are authorised by us.

Unfortunately, no data transmission or stored information is 100% secure. Thus, whilst BMC strives to protect user’s information as far as possible, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that the user transmits to us.

You have the right to the rectification, processing or deletion of your data. You have the right to withdraw your consent and can unsubscribe from BMC email communications at any time.

We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent. We will not contact you for marketing purposes by post if you have indicated that you do not wish to be contacted.
