Discovery Day – 29th June

Our next Discovery Day is Saturday 29th June at Hay Castle from 10am – 3pm! Come along for free

We will be showcasing our educational offers, including our one-year-long NVQ’s in partnership with NPTC Group of Colleges*:

– Level 2 in Regenerative Horticulture

– Level 2 in Sustainable Coppicing and Greenwood Trades

– Level 2 in Nature Recovery

– Level 3 Agroecology Traineeship (NEW FOR 2024)

Come and learn about our degree course: BA (Hons) Sustainable Futures: Arts, Ecology and Systems Change.

What to Expect? 

Our Discovery Day will provide you with an insight into what BMC can offer you, as well as giving you the opportunity to get involved in our interactive activities.

  • Take part in hands-on woodworking activities and have a go on the ‘Shave Horse’ (weather permitting)
  • Meet and greet some of our fabulous, knowledgeable NVQ and Higher Education tutors
  • Meet and chat to some of our NVQ students
  • Find out more information on all of our courses
  • Refreshments available

 


Scheduled Sessions:

10am – Welcome and refreshments

10.30am – 12.30pm – NVQs in Regenerative Horticulture, Sustainable Coppicing and Greenwood Trades, Nature Recovery and Level 3 Agroecology Traineeship

  • Discover more about the course content and meet the tutors & some students
  • Learn about our BRAND NEW Level 3 Agroecology Traineeship, meet and hear from some work placement providers
  • Come and have a go on the ‘Shave Horse’
  • Q&A

12.30pm – Break and Questions

  • Take a quick break, have a wander around, grab a snack and chat to us
  • Ask us any other questions you might have about our courses, student support, accommodation options, student finance and more

1pm – Higher Education

1.30pm onwards – Q&A Session
