The Tabernacle is a stylishly converted Welsh Chapel, with 2 ensuite bedrooms and open plan living areas.

This is a great, central location, surrounded by Talgarth’s local shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, with easy access to the nearby bus stop which connects Talgarth to Hay-on-Wye, Brecon, and Builth Wells directly. This is situated approximately 30-minutes’ walk from our Troed yr Harn campus, and 10-minutes’ drive from both our Hay Castle Degree learning space, and Brecon. There is no designated parking, but there are plenty of on-street parking and Talgarth Car Park is free and just around the corner.

Behind a simple white frontage lies a beautiful big, light, bright room, with open-plan living areas within one downstairs space. It is open foor to ceiling save for the balcony area, which has been cleverly filled with a white wood-and-glass enclosure housing the bedrooms and ensuites. Being a listed building, the old architectural details are protected: the deeply-coloured old wooden floor, the beautiful railings around the balcony, the ceiling rose, and the fluted iron pillars all blend effectively with the contemporary design details.

The bedrooms cleverly created, allowing a separate but light-filled area, with a viewing balcony between each. Each bedroom has its own flight of stairs and large luxurious ensuite shower room. Beds are upcycled from the old chapel pews, mattresses are top quality.
