A private room with its own bathroom attached in a shared house on the edge of Talgarth.

This house is in a fantastic location – 2 minutes walk from Talgarth’s local shops, cafes and pubs, but right on the edge of the town, with lots of outside space and wonderful views over the mountains. From the house it’s a beautiful 30-minutes walk to our Troed yr Harn campus, and 10-minutes drive from both our Hay Castle Degree learning space, and Brecon. The house is situated at the end of a quiet dead end road, with free parking. It’s a few minutes walk to the nearby bus stop which connects Talgarth to Hay-on-Wye, Brecon, and Builth Wells directly.

Oak Cottage is a shared house, and you’d have your own (furnished) double room and bathroom on the top floor. As the top floor only comprises the bedroom and bathroom, you’d have this floor all to yourself. You’d be sharing the rest of the house with a married couple in their 40s, and be able to use the whole of the house – kitchen, sitting room,  washing machine, downstairs bathroom and outdoor areas. There’s a big garden, an orchard with a compost loo and wood-fired sauna, and lots of birds!

Please note that access to this room is up a flight of steps.
