Come and join us for a tree planting session to create a shelterbelt at our Farm campus!
Date: Saturday 23rd April 2022
Time: 10am – 3pm
Location: Our campus is a car-free site, and we encourage participants to meet at Talgarth carpark (LD3 0PG) at 10am to walk up to the campus together, ready to begin at 11am. This is a moderate uphill walk of 35-40 minutes.
To bring: You should wear suitable, weather-dependent PPE including gloves and good, sturdy boots if possible. If you have a spade, please bring this too!
Please bring a water bottle and a packed lunch for a picnic at the farm. Tea and coffee facilities available.
Who will I learn from?
Jed is a tutor on our Coppicing and Greenwood Trades NVQ. He is also chair of the Talgarth Community Woodland Group and a Director of The Green Valleys CIC.
Richard is former Director of the National Forest Gardening Scheme and coordinator of Oxfordshire Trees Collaborate. His life work is now focused on well-being in nature, through involvement in green social organisations and green issue campaigning/activist groups.
