Then come along to our free Discovery Day at Hay Castle from 10am – 2pm on Saturday 3rd December!

We will be showcasing our educational offers, including our one-year-long NVQ’s in partnership with NPTC Group of Colleges*:

– Level 2 in Regenerative Horticulture

– Level 2 in Sustainable Coppicing and Greenwood Trades

Come and learn about our brand new degree course: BA (hons) Sustainable Futures: Arts, Ecology and Systems Change.

These courses are practical, hands-on, and multi-disciplined, which will help you develop a sustainable and rewarding career! Read more about the course content by following the links above.

What to Expect? 

Our Discovery Day will provide you with an insight into what BMC can offer you, as well as giving you the opportunity to get involved in our interactive activities.

  • Watch demonstrations
  • Take part in hands-on woodworking activities and have a go on the ‘Shave Horse’ (weather permitting)
  • Meet and greet some of our fabulous, knowledgeable NVQ and Higher Education tutors
  • Meet and chat to some of our 2022 NVQ students
  • Find out more information on our upcoming short-courses and our brand-new degree programme

10am – Welcome and refreshments

10.30am – Level 2 in Regenerative Horticulture

12pm – Short Courses

  • Find out about our past, present and future one-day and residential short courses, including a range of topics from practical skills like composting, tree planting and regenerative growing

12.30pm – Higher Education

1.30pm – Employers Panel Accenture and Welsh Water

  • Speak to potential employers who will answer the question “why would we hire a graduate of the BA (Hons) Sustainable Futures: Arts, Ecology and Systems Change?”
  • Learn more about Year 3 of the Degree where you will complete work experience to help launch you into your career. Our ‘Employers Panel’ is there to talk to you about work placement partnerships, potential opportunities available after you graduate, and how we can support you in your future career.
