HOW DO I WIN?

We are looking for the 5 most compelling personal statements from our applicants, evidencing their passion for making positive changes to support a more sustainable future.

Personal statements can be submitted in a range of formats, for example:

  2. Video – recording or film
  3. Audio recording
  4. Portfolio

There is no right or wrong way to submit your personal statement, but we encourage creativity!

WHAT IS THE PRIZE?

Each of the five winners will receive a £2,000 bursary to provide additional support for their first-year studies. The money will be paid directly to you, into your bank account. It is not a contribution to your tuition fees, but for you personally to spend how you wish!

WHEN DO I RECEIVE THE PRIZE?

Winners will receive their bursary at the beginning of the second term of study, assuming they have successfully completed the first term. If you drop-out of Black Mountains College in your first year of study after receiving your prize, the bursary of £2000 is subject to claw back charges:

  • If you leave during the second term, you will be required to repay the full amount of £2000 to the College.
