Our plan for Black Mountains College to be a pivotal catalyst in transforming society has a number of dependencies.  The most obvious are funding and premises, but the most important is that we have the right people shaping and building it.

BMC began as a response to the climate crisis, but the climate crisis is inextricably linked to social justice.  As we say in our film, ‘the way we live is broken’.  Regenerating our culture and society is a process on many levels.

As we grow we are seeking new trustees to contribute to building our college for the future. We have worked to decolonise the curriculum, building a programme that is dedicated to multiple modes of seeing and knowing and alternative ways of imagining the world.  We need trustees who reflect that commitment, with a multiplicity of perspectives and experiences.

We have recently published our Equality, Diversion and Inclusion policy.  And we are actively looking for new trustees who can help realise the ambition of the college to be a catalyst for new ways of learning, working and living in a better, greener, more equal future.
