Talgarth Talks – Gabriella Gómez-Mont

THE POLITICS OF POSSIBILITY: NOTES FROM LATIN AMERICA

How do we navigate moments of crisis whilst keeping hope alive and imagining new possibilities for the future?

Gabriella Gómez-Mont is former Chief Creative Officer of Mexico City, now Visiting Professor of Practice and Senior Policy Fellow at University College London. Working in projects across the world, with a special focus in Latin America, she specialises in experimental, transdisciplinary and collaborative practices at different scales: from the scale of a megalopolis to the scale of a restless question. Gabriella will share a few provocations and emerging insights from her most recent projects.

In this public lecture, she’ll explore inspiring ideas and practices, insights from her recent projects across Latin America and beyond. She’ll cover topics such as biocultural practices, more-than-human rights, care and architectures for collective life. Discover how these approaches might work in our own communities and collective future.
