ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION

The Tabernacle is a stylishly converted Welsh Chapel, with 2 ensuite bedrooms and open plan living areas.

Behind a simple white frontage lies a beautiful big, light, bright room, with open-plan living areas within one downstairs space. It is open floor to ceiling save for the balcony area, which has been cleverly filled with a white wood-and-glass enclosure housing the bedrooms and ensuites.

Being a listed building, the old architectural details are protected: the deeply-coloured old wooden floor, the beautiful railings around the balcony, the ceiling rose, and the fluted iron pillars all blend effectively with the contemporary design details.

The bedrooms are cleverly created, allowing a separate but light-filled area, with a viewing balcony between each. Each bedroom has its own flight of stairs and large luxurious ensuite shower room. Beds are upcycled from the old chapel pews, mattresses are top quality.

There is no designated parking, but there is plenty of on-street parking and Talgarth Car Park is free and just around the corner.

WHERE TO FIND IT

The Tabernacle is located in Talgarth in a prime location, with local amenities only minutes away. Situated close to the local bus stop, it’s ideal for making the most of the surrounding towns of Brecon, Abergavenny, Hay-on-Wye and Hereford. The residence is also close to Talgarth’s cafes, shops and pubs.

For those studying at our Troed-yr-Harn Campus, it’s a 1-mile walk through ancient woodland in Pwll-yr-Wrach Nature Reserve. For those studying at our workshop in Talgarth, it is less than a 5-minute walk here.
